    Dear Kate,
The countdown is over! Soon you will arrive in Charleston. I am so excited! The house is ready for you. We did buy the one with the attached guest house, so you will have your own home away from home while you are here.
The porches are joined and we can sit and look at the ocean and watch the dolphins frolic. It’s a beautiful spot and you will enjoy it, I know!
We moved the entire family down here and oh, it is wonderful to have everybody so close! We are all within 5 miles of each other in this beautiful location!
Walking on the beach early this morning with hubby, I found 4 sand dollars! That’s the most I have ever found in one day. Some days I find beautiful shells, other days I find shark’s teeth. I have quite a collection of “gifts” from our early morning walks. I use them on my meditation table as constant reminders of how thankful I am to be living here in one of the most beautiful spots on earth. It’s a dream come true.
While you are here, we have planned a family picnic on the beach – we will eat and watch the sun go down on the ocean — what a lovely sight to see!
Oh, I did join the Turtle group, and will participate in my first Turtle rescue in a few weeks. Maybe they will hatch while you are here! Wouldn’t that be wonderful? Of course we will have to wake up about 4:30 a.m. for that event! lol
I am so happy that I lost the weight before we moved. I feel so much better and am able to enjoy chasing the grandchildren on the beach – and sometimes I actually get brave enough to put on a swim suit and swim with them — or wade in the ocean!
My energy is so high — even I am shocked! And oh, we have met the nicest people! With the kids and their new friends, and us and our new friends, we can have an impromptu party at a moment’s notice. and oh the laughter! I have laughed and laughed. This is pure joy!
At this moment, I am typing on my new little laptop out on the porch. It’s about 8 in the morning. I have sipped my coffee, visited with you via e-mail, and watched the world wake up.
We will be at the airport to pick you up at the appointed time!
